K-FLEX rubber expansion joints are used in the transportation of pressurized fluids. As they eliminate the need for coupling gaskets they are widely used in many industrial sectors. They are highly resistant to fatigue and corrosion and have a significant sound-proofing capacity. They require very little axial space and are lightweight.

K-FLEX RUBBER JOINTS WITH FLANGED EXTREMITIES

These joints have a molded body with a single wide-radius corrugation. Their external surface is protected by a watertight sleeve in elastomer. They are available in EPDM, Hypalon, NBR and VITON, with ASTM A 105, ASTM Tp. 304 and 316 flanges.

K-FLEX RUBBER JOINTS WITH UNIONS

The body of these rubber joints has a double corrugation design and is made of multiple layers of nylon fiber woven diagonally and immersed in rubber for flexibility between the layers. An elastomer sleeve protects the interior surface and collar from fluid leakage; a similar sleeve protects the external surface from atmospheric pollution. They are available in EPDM and NBR. On request the fittings can be supplied in stainless steel or bronze. The unions can be in galvanized steel or AISI 304 or 316.

K-FLEX VIBRATION-PROOF RUBBER JOINTS

These joints are cylindrical in shape and are made of EPDM elastomer. They are installed in pipes in the vicinity of pumps, compressors, valves, construction machinery, etc., to mitigate operating noise and absorb minor vibrations.

The body has no metallic parts to come into contact with the fluid being transported or the counter flanges. A pair of flanged carbon steel inserts have been fitted into the interior. Models from DN 80 are equipped with internal tie-rod spacers in carbon steel to counteract the thrust from internal pressure.

The maximum operating pressure is 10 bar. The constant extreme temperature reaches 100 ° C.

They are available with UNI PN 16 or UNI PN 10 and UNI PN 6 flanges.
