Production / Flex Piping
They are obtained from drawn tubes with or without longitudinal welding. These tubes are placed on special machines that mechanically or hydraulically form parallel or helical corrugations, depending on the flexible hose application.
It is of fundamental importance that metallic flexible hoses designed to withstand high pressures are externally reinforced with one or more braids, since the corrugated part alone can only resist relatively low pressures.
Materials and Production Control
As an ISO 9001 certified and PED approved company, Giorgi constantly performs incoming material inspections, verifying that quality and specifications fully comply with specific customer requirements.
Every single component can be traced within the plant throughout the entire production cycle.
Pressure test
The test pressure, or acceptance test, is carried out at the Giorgi production facility before delivery to the customer.
All parts are tested using a pneumatic system at 6 bar, or a hydraulic system at 1.5 times the operating pressure.
For tests at higher pressures, a request must be specified at the quotation stage.
Production / Seismic-Resistant Flexible Hoses
Italy is a territory almost entirely exposed to seismic events (with the exception of the Sardinia region).
For this reason, since the introduction of the NTC2008 (Technical Standards for Construction), Giorgi Engineering has studied and developed seismic-resistant flexible hoses, designed and manufactured to absorb both displacements caused by thermal expansion and those due to occasional loads resulting from seismic events such as earthquakes or structural collapses. These hoses allow systems to move in six different directions together with the structures, thus ensuring operational continuity.
Thanks to their fully flexible structure in all directions (X, Y, and Z), they also protect the system by damping vibrations and stresses that occur in the piping, while at the same time absorbing possible thermal expansions.

Structural and Ground Movements
Due to events that are difficult to predict and originate at various depths of the Earth’s crust — such as tectonic phenomena that cause vibratory movements over areas of different extent, or severe ground shifts resulting from major water infiltration or other factors that produce sudden changes in the surface where constructions with different foundations or crossings are located — it is essential to ensure system continuity.
Our Expansion Joints fully meet this requirement, allowing adaptation to the necessary movements within the limits for which they have been designed.
Produzction / Flexible Metal Hoses
They are manufactured from drawn tubes, with or without longitudinal welding. These tubes are placed on special machines that mechanically or hydraulically form parallel or helical corrugations, depending on the application of the flexible hoses.
It is of fundamental importance that flexible metal hoses intended to withstand high pressures are externally reinforced with one or more braids, since the corrugated section alone can only resist relatively low pressures
